Review & How-To: Wolfgang Bug Remover Spritz
I never really understood the term "soft paint" until I purchased a (made in Japan, folks) Subaru WRX. This paint is like butter. It scratches easily, it scuffs easily, but man is it a looker when it's polished right. Because the paint is so soft, it is far more susceptible to etchings caused by acidic bug splatter, hard water, and bird droppings. For that reason, I'm a big advocate of bug removers, and here's why:
Wolfgang Bug Remover Spritz is the newest product to bear the Wolfgang logo, and it's a damn good one too. If you think it's just another bug remover, think again. Thanks to advanced German chemistry, we've managed to develop a bug remover that contains a special enzyme that targets the bug guts, and not the underlying wax coating. What does this mean for you? Well, it's quite simple actually. Wolfgang Bug Remover Spritz removes the bug splatter, not the wax!
Wolfgang Bug Remover Spritz removes what a conventional car wash doesn't. It cleans deep down to remove all trace residue, the same trace residue that is acidic and causes etchings. I'd rather spend my hard earned cash on a set of tires, not a re-paint for the bumper I neglected to properly clean.
Front bumper of my 2016 WRX after a spirited ( ) weekend of driving:
Wolfgang Bug Remover Spritz is very easy to use. Simply spray the affected area, allow it to dwell for 30 seconds, and then wash it off using a soft sponge or, in this case, the Wolfgang Das Bug Sponge. This honey-comb sponge features an aggressive open-cell foam design that gently removes stubborn bug splatter from all surfaces.
Wolfgang Bug Remover Spritz produces a rich foam that clings to the surface, maximizing dwell time.
Soak Das Bug Sponge in a bucket of soapy water for a few minutes prior to use. This will soften the sponge significantly.
Very gently, without applying any pressure, clean the affected area. Rinse the sponge frequently.
Rinse with a strong jet of water, and then dry with your favorite drying towel. I'm partial towards the Guzzler Waffle Weave.
No more bugs!
Remove the bugs without removing the wax! Bug guts create unsightly damage that is impossible to fix without a repaint. Wolfgang Bug Remover Spritz is a safe, effective choice.

Awesome! You need to sell that in industrial quantities so I can use it on planes. I'm definitely going to be using it on my car though. Unbelievable bugs out here! I'm pumped!

Nicely done Nick!
Looks like the product foams up and clings nicely. Happy to see that you mentioned soaking the bug sponge for a while prior to use. This is vitally important that the sponge has soaked for a while to soften it up a bit prior to use.
Thanks for sharing.
