engine cleaning
lookin' at a good way to clean the engine fins. I see some expensive foaming agents that degrease and clean. I also see Lyson foaming bathroom cleaner. it still gets rid of crap. But is it safe for the engine. The wording on the back of the can says it's good on chrome fixtures, ceramic tile, and plastic.
Hmm, sounds like a lot of the expensive stuff out there.
So has anyone used this product on their engines?

Re: engine cleaning
i would use a APC and don't forget to cover areas of concern (tin foil works great). not sure if it's safe on engines but probably is (check label), you can get LA's totally awesome at walmart, 99 cent only store, etc, for under $2...

Yeah ASP is best for the bikes cleaning.I used it many time in my workshop. Its have a good result but avoid its extra using,it damages the parts if you use it in excess amount. It have a good a quality. Many other cleaners are also available in the market but always use a good quality, its risky to use a low quality for you engine cleanup.

I would be really, really careful with the tin foil seeing how its a very good conductor of electricity. I wouldn't want to fry something because of a stray wire strand. Plastic wrap works great too!
