Microfiber polishing cloth and heat shields
A reminder: Make sure that you keep your microfiber polishing cloth or microfiber towel away from hot heat shields, pipes or mufflers. Unfortunately I didn't think of this until it was too late. What a "mess". I fixed the "mess" by running the bike long enough to get the shield really hot. The microfiber on the shield melted again and I was able to wipe off the residue with a cotton terry cloth towel that I had layered and dampened a bit with water. I did not need oven cleaner or acetone to "git-r-done".
