    New Guy From New England

    Hi all!

I'm new to this forum, but not new to forums in general (I belong to quite a few actually). I'm from the North Shore MA area and have a few different cars and I love to keep them clean. In the winter it is tough, salt is our worst enemy for cars around here. My friends think I'm super OCD about my cars, but always ask me to clean theirs .

Recently people have been asking me more often to detail their cars for them. I work full time as a licensed MA Auto Damage Appraiser, so I try and help them on the weekends.

I used to work at a dealership cleaning cars when I was in college, and I quickly realized that the dealership simply does not care about the reconditioning department. My boss at the time (a full time detailer) didn't seem to care much either, which is part of the reason why I left (also the dealership insisted on using crummy products and taking "shortcuts" on details that they would charge the customers a large sum of money for...).

I have fun cleaning cars and love to see the final product. It puts a smile on my face when I see the reaction of the car's owner when they see their car all shiny and clean- I'm sure you know the feeling.

Sometimes it's tough to keep myself from getting carried away when I'm detailing a car for someone.

Anyway.... I always do lots of research on products for anything from performance car parts, tools and even fishing products. I believe that forums are an excellent resource for knowledge and I'm looking forward to spending time on this forum and learning more about detailing!
