Hey everybody...
After two+ years of reading and learning from this forum I thought it was time to register and post up an intro. I live in Ontario Canada and have been detailing cars (by machine) for the last 2 years. I started out like most by doing it by hand for years and years. It wasn't until I got my first professional detail that I realized what I had been missing all those years. The second I saw my vehicle I knew it was time to learn to replicate those results. I spent months learning everything I could by watching videos and reading articles. Once I was ready I took the plunge and invested in product and a PC 7424.
Once friends and family saw the results they would ask me to do their cars and I would just ask they cover the cost of the products and a case of beer for my time. From there things ballooned and I was doing 2 cars a week and charging what amounted to slave labour
It never occurred too me that I would be doing my hobby as a part time job however the opportunity sort of fell on my lap. This year I made a conscious effort to start putting together a price list and I'm even contemplating a website for next season and all this means is taking pics and documenting my work, all things that I need to remind myself to do
Thanks for reading
Eric
