Smile Hello, Autogeek Nation! from CA

A very heartfelt hello from from Burbank, CA.

Just a thank you to Autogeek, Mike Phillips, and other contributors like BobbyG. Your info, posts, testimonies, successes and failures are so invaluable and well laid out. And your tone with newbies gives us the confidence that we can create a great look with our daily drivers.

I found Autogeek from a search to fix the paint and coating of my two cars, and have been soaking up knowledge on the site for a year before being able to invest in the purchase of a DA. Here I am, a proud member of Autogeek, new owner of a DA, and obsessed with getting into the garage to complete the transformation of a couple cars.

    Box- Merry Christmas to me!

The temporary workspace (we just moved from MN to CA) : Dad's garage

    Note:
    • new lighting to see swirls- dad wasn't sure why I needed this
    • PBMG boxes
    • Laptop on counter to reference Autogeek

Chips, pitting - When I bought the car 1, it was rainy ( I knew not to do this and did it anyway!) 2. brought a chamois to wipe it down to inspect the body before the sale, and 3. got caught up in the sale and PROCEEDED TO NOT WIPE IT DOWN TO INSPECT IT.

    Typical Jet Black BMW Swirls:

The projects - which look ok from 20-30 feet... would be happy if I can get the '06 to look great from 6 ft and get a turn of the head for the '96 from '10 feet

Thanks again for the forum, the products, and the resource to find info

    See you online often!

and nice looking BMWs. I'm a recent 335i owner, which has done nothing but fuel the obsession.

Love the laptop close at hand! Great idea...hmmm..

Very nice introduction. I found your detailed explanation of the path you took to get to where you are very interesting.

I'm a "forum guy", I belong to numerous forums and all of them are run professionally and have a friendly forum community.

I don't join forums that don't meet these two criteria and if I find after I've joined a forum that they are NOT run professionally and made up of genuinely nice people I simply stop posting and stop going.

So thank you for you very "detailed" intro, no pun intended.

Looks like you're off to a great start with your car detailing projects and you can trust that this forum will be here to always see you through to success.
