Insert clever thread name here
Hello, y'all! My name is Cricket, I'm 32 years old and I sell cars.
:ducks_a_shoe:
I have learned so much from this place already, I'm looking forward to stealing all of your secrets to use on one of these three beasts:
Thanks for the warm welcome, and thanks for being here.. And please know that tonight someone is in their garage doing a detail the "right way" because you were all here.. Pics to follow... As soon as I join a photography forum and learn to operate my fancy camera! lol
I see swirls everywhere!!!

Thank you both for a cordial welcome. I think the thing I like the most about the white TA is how you can't tell from a photo that that thing is scratched all to hell and in desperate need of a "real detail". You see, I am very clueless about how to actually detail a car, just like many salesman I worked my way up from "detailer" and, yes, sadly I was one of those hacks who didn't even know when he'd screwed something up. Still am, turns out. lol Don't get me wrong, I am not the "take a Brillo pad and knock them bugs off 'ere, Jeb" kinda bad you may be envisioning, but more of an innocent Calvin and Hobbes kinda way..
For example: tonight I taped off the plastic parts on the Yukon, the second victim of the day, in order to guard them from the compound and polish I was using.. Turns out the glue on the tape doesn't agree with the fender flares!! I used some adhesive remover, but that left the flares slightly chalky.. :good_grief:
I'm off to hunt down a solution via the search engine here, wish me luck. And thanks again for the warm welcome!
Oh, a sneak peak of my Yukons hand glaze job (cause I don't own a DA or know enough about one to use one yet, so minor imperfections may have to stay until spring):
And the first victim of the day (and yesterday, cause I'm a slow poke):
Yes, I know.. Learn how to take a photograph! Pretty good for a hack with a iPhone though, eh?
I see swirls everywhere!!!
