ILL. Newbie seeking advice

Hey guys I'm a oldie but newbie from central Illinois. I've been cleanning, washing and waxing cars most of my life with pretty good results. I've owned corvettes, monte SS's, IROC camaro's and presently a '99 pewter metalic corvette. I've always just used products like Mother's or Meguiars. Is there that much difference between these and the more expensive waxes like Pinnacle, P21s and Blackfire? Are the results worth the extra cost? I have no paint issues and I just bought a orbital polisher to make life easier. I'm looking for that wet look. What do you guys recommend? Thanks

Age is just a number and you'd be surprised at the age of many members here on the Autogeek Forum.

Mothers and Meguiar's are two of the biggest names in detailing. Many of their products are using in shops all over the world. Some of the finest most expensive cars have been brought back to life with these products.

Surface preparation is the key to a beautiful finish. Sealants and waxes protect, add depth, and glow to that finish making it at times appear wet. Some products look better on a finish than another thus the reason for the variety on the market. Ingredients in the formulation also add an additional variable.

Carnauba gives the finish the glow and depth. There's nothing like the rich warm glow of Carnauba but unfortunately it does not possess the durability of a sealant.

Thanks for the info BobbyG. I have a question about the Collinite 845. My car is a garage queen and only sees the rain when I get caught in it. I do car shows, therefore durability is not an issue. Will the 845 give me the shine I'm looking for and at a price I like? In your opinion which is better for what I'm looking for, the collinite 845, the 915 or Mothers pure Brazilian carnauba? The Brazilian carnauba says pure but it also says contains petroleum distillates. Thanks to anyone that can help.
