Wow, I've only been on this forum for about 2 days but I've already learned so much.
Up until recently I thought I was anal about my cars, I used to just break out the hose, sponge and any old carwash soap to wash my cars. I've learned that even though I always kept my cars clean, I wasn't doing a GREAT job at it.
I bought my 2009 Vista Blue Mustang GT and decided that I loved the color so much I want it to always sparkle.
I have some experience with a rotary and actually own one so I broke out my wool pads and proceeded to Hologram the crap out of the passenger side door. That's when I decided it was time to update my tools. I bought a new 6" backing pad,a couple of LC pads along with some Megs compound, polish and some Poorboys EX sealer complimented by some Natty's Blue.
Last Friday night after work I washed the car with some Poorboys Citrus, dried it off and pulled it into the garage. I clayed the flat surfaces and then polished it out. I didn't compound the entire car because the finish was in pretty good shape.
I had failed to buy a finish pad so I applied one coat of the EX by hand and let it dry for an hour.
I just got my Red LC pad today and of course it's raining so I will apply a second coat of EX once it stops and I can wash the car.
Thanks,
Jeff
