Hi everyone. My name is Jason. I own Precision Mobile Detailing and I am from Chesapeake City MD. I have combined Klasse All In One Polish and Mothers Carnuba Wax about 50/50. I have been having amazing results with this combination. Just curious if anyone else has experimented with a combination like this and what your results were.

Hello! I'm an old newbie. I've always paid for auto detailing. Purchased a new car in April and started doing some homework on what the shops use here in Baltimore and found very few that had the same product knowledge that I did after a few weeks of home work.
I'm here to learn more and do the paint care myself.
    Cheers

    Re: New Member Information

Hi. I'm from Maine, and will be looking for help in getting the right products, and how to apply them to my 2012 Avalon (Cypress Green).

I travel a lot (35 - 65,000 a year) selling automotive marketing supplies, and like my car looking great when possible.

My first loaded question, what are the best waxes, treatments, ways to make my car look better then new.

I do have an orbital buffer, that came with 7" pads, but I'm guessing it can fit 5" if that is better, less or simply the best size to use for control or the best results.

I'll head on over to the detailing area to see what's new and maybe post a similar message.

    K.R.E.A.L.

New member here. I've been detailing my own cars for years now...by hand. After using a DA for the first time a few weeks ago I realized I hadn't actually been detailing all this time after all. I'd only been limiting the damage and keeping them clean.

    Re: New Member Information

I'm Steve and I'm always in the middle of car and truck restorations (currently doing a 1948 Chevy COE truck on a P30 motorhome chassis), though what brought me to this site was finding information on how to properly clean and care for the fabric convertible top for the 2008 VW New Beetle that we picked up for my wife last weekend. I'm still not 100% sure on the top but have narrowed it down to either a Raggtopp or 303 kit. Next is to go through all the info on cleaning, polishing and protecting finishes. Here in the Pacific Northwest we get plenty of opportunities to watch the water bead on our cars and I don't want to waste that!
There's a lot of great info here and I really appreciate all of the work, photos, videos and so on. Thanks!

Hi My name is Daniel and I am just getting started with the whole detailing culture. I am a perfectionist and I don't know if that is going to help or hinder me! I just got a HF DA polisher. I am trying to decide on what products and pads i need to start with. I was thinking about the Chemical Guys Paint Correction No. 2 and No.1 with Optimum Microfiber cutting and polishing pads. I'm not sure if this combo will be good or not. Any recommendations for a 99 Audi a4 would be great!
