    New guy from Seattle.

Hey everyone. I've been a lurker on lots of detailing websites but recently found this one and decided to join because of the large abundance of knowledge I've seen so far.

Anyhow, my names Jerryn and I live in Seattle. I drive a black 2007 Subaru Impreza STi. I'm a car enthusiast and Subi's are my latest love.

Well, I just bought a PC 7424xp and am waiting for all my pads, polishes, microfiber, etc...
I got the PC because I researched and saw that the more powerful polishers, such as the flex and makita, can be dangerous to paint in the hands of an amatuer detailer.

For correction and protection, I got Megs Medium Cut Cleaner (which I'll probably return for M105), Megs M205, Menz Super Finish Polish, Menz Powerlock and Megs Final Inspection.

I decided to go with the Meguiars higher cutting polishes because I saw so many people using them with great results, plus the LOWWWW price was attractive as well. I went with the Menzerna final polish and sealant because I read it was some of the best quality and saw it produced some of the best results.

Well, I think that covers most of it. I'm glad to be a part of this community and hope to have a full write up with pictures when I detail my STi in the coming weeks. It's paint sure is in need of some TLC.

    Welcome to Autogeek Online!

Sounds like you're on the right track, definitely don't use the M01 Medium Cut Cleaner with a DA Polisher, it will scour the paint. If you read the back label it states,

    Rotary Buffer Only

Welcome to Autogeek Online, there are lots of videos and articles in the links in my Signature Line.
