From hot, arid, sun beaten central Arizona
Yea, it's bad, but you either love it or hate it.
Having lived nearly all of my life in the northeastern US I don't miss the rain, snow, overcast, windy, bone chilling days one bit.
Naturally there is a price to be paid to be able to live in what is literally "the valley of the Sun", the greater Phoenix Arizona area.
The sun is relentless in its continuous attack on anything it has available to it, be it wood, metal, paint, plastic, fabric, flesh, you name it.
Anyway, I'm here to glean what I can from the "pros" in a never ending quest to preserve and protect my vehicles, especially my C6 Z06.
Looking foward to being a general PIA with seemingly dumb questions but willing to listen and apply what's taught-

Welcome from NJ
Lets see some pics of that c6 z06. At least you are never at a loss of the cherished "Sun Shot" after you do a detailing of your ride.
I know that in my neck of the woods tree sap, is a common problem. Other than the ever oppressive sun are there any other issues that you are up against when living in Arizona?

Welcome.
There's a lot of info on this site. I've been on for that past month and I'm still learning new things every day.

Welcome!
I can't wait to move to AZ. Living 21 years in Michigan I've had enough!

My in-laws live in Sun City West...I appreciate what you face with that environment.
While I personally like a quality Carnauba wax, if I lived where you do, I'd go with a quality sealant like Rejex, Zaino, Griot's Paint Sealant or some other quality sealants available. Sealants have a higher melting point than natural waxes and are generally more protective in extreme environments.
Like already said, I've learned a lot here about car care. I've learned more in the last few years than I ever thought possible about what goes into taking care of your car.

Welcome from the depressing Browns town. I wish I had problems with the sun. You've come to the right site.

As a Vette owner in South Florida, I deal with alot of the same hot weather and humidity issues. Clean often, wax as possible, and use great wash and drying techniques to avoid swirls. Welcome !!
