brake fluid as a quick detailer?

Don't mind the title, I just wanted to make some people cringe =P
I'm new to the forum and just wanted to say hi. I really like the community here, it seems real close. I don't do detailing as a profession, i just like to keep the cars looking nice. I am mostly keen on engine detailing as there's still much I need to learn about machine polishing and other techniques...not that the paint on my vehicles isn't happy
I couldn't find an engine specific segment of the forum, but if there isn't I'll post some of my unusual techniques for engine stuff in the most appropriate area.
I'm really happy to be joining such an enthusiastic forum, and not entirely because it has a dancing banana.

I tell you something quite real, some detailers use to use brake fluid as tire gloss. Serious ! Well until tires degraded quickly.
