Hey Everybody! I just took the plunge!

Hey everyone, I just wanted to say that I just put in a $625 order to Autogeek.net for a new Flex XC 3401 VRG polisher, a bunch of pads, Pinnacle + Souveran sealant and wax, Pinnacle tire and wheel kit, and a Grit Guard pad washer (which I will be using as my wash bucket too). Oh yea, I also picked up an Autogeek detailer's bag cause I need to store these things somewhere...

My sister bought me the Menzerna Maximum shine kit for X-mas, so I'll have most of the tools I'll need to do the detailing I want!

I appreciate the wealth of knowledge on this forum... and my wallet is empty now from everything I've learned on here.

BTW, I drive a Nighthawk Black Pearl Civic Si '04. I have a lot of spider-webbing, and would like to restore my paint back to it's old glory.

You must share some photos when you start working on the Honda, good luck with it and let us know if you need any help or advice.

Congrats. That's pretty exciting to get that fisrt AG order.

PS: You won't be able to sleep until it gets there, lol.

Re: Hey Everybody! I just took the plunge!

I wasn't going to place my order until after the holidays... but with the Max shine kit coming, and sale on the grit guard ending, I stayed up til 5am reading about what I wanted, and placing my order! I barely got any sleep...

Someone suggested that I use nothing more than the white pad to polish the Honda because of it's soft paint. Does that sound about right?

A white pad and the IP should work fine. If not, move to an orange pad with the IP. I could not be happier with my 3401 and Menzerna. It stepped up my capabilities to a place I did not know was possible. Good luck!
