Re: Hi from Kentucky
Another quick question then I guess I should start another thread in Detailing 101.
Would it hurt anything or be worth the effort to do a wash, decontamination, clay, then just top with a spray wax for the time being ?
I figure I could use the spray wax in the future, if any is left, for a final wipe down after I get the more expensive products I’ll need ( polisher, pads and backing plates, polishes, etc ) and do a proper paint correction.

Won't hurt a thing. A 9 year old clear coat needs all it can get, protection-wise.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

Wont hurt anything. You'll be surprised how much shine can come from a good chemical and physical decontamination and wash. Just looks better.
I suppose if a lot of time goes by... a year maybe... depends.. but you may have or want to do those steps again when you get around to polishing.
Have fun...

Perfect. That’s what I was thinking guys.
Thanks again.
Now I need to decide on a spray wax - probably the one product I haven’t really paid much attention to until now.
