sup buddy it's never too late to get started and there are plenty of threads with tons of info and great members on here to lend a helping hand as well...
Friend of mine had a 2010 that was jet black and it looked stunning after it was corrected and coated with 22ple VX3.
His paint was unbelievably soft and difficult to work with, and according to him this is common of 2009 model year as well. He also mentioned there was a relatively common issue with paint quality on these model years... micro fractures/crows feet type defects that have been acknowledged as an issue by honda/acura. There seems to be a lot of info on the Acura forums about it if you're interested.
I have a 2009 TSX in Crystal Black Pearl. I will reiterate what others have already said. This paint is soft. I do not think it has been difficult to work with, however. It has been pretty cooperative as far as paint correction is concerned.
I have also heard of the paint QC/crows feet issues. I have not seen this on my TSX, but I have seen others with the problem.
