My friend raves about his NOCO GB70

I bought a GBX45 about a year ago and used it for the first time to jump someone who had a dead battery. It worked like a champ and they were very grateful I had one.

I bought the gbx75 to jump my 454. If battery pretty dead I have to put it in override but it starts right away.
Amazing product.

Re: NOCO GB40 Jump Starter
I keep one on my bike at all times....aftermarket audio is pretty baller and it will drain my battery...and the new Milwaukee 8 engines need all the cranking power a battery has got
they absolutely work, but I've never had to use it on my bike....I have used it to start my truck though, as it sits a lot...and a lady in the parking lot of a restaurant seemed to be having issues once when my wife and I were pulling out, we stopped and sure enough, she needed a jump
she laughed when I pulled out the little jump starter....I laughed when her car cranked right up
they work, it's more compact and portable than jumper cables, and while I have both in the car, if i had to either or, it would be the portable jumper
NOCO is the one you want, or one that looks like it, but is branded different

Re: NOCO GB40 Jump Starter
Just came back last night tothe airport from the buick sitting for a week and aparently i got a battery thats gonna start to take a shat cuz it was completely dead. This is a first indication if issue. Yanked out the jumper cables and flagged down a good samaritan fella that tried to gimmie a jump with his new tahoe in the cold rain...after a few minutes of chargin it up all attempts failed and ended with a rapid click...
Luckily a airport authority guy passed and made a call...another employee brought over a noro 55 or 155 i cant remember. I signed a wavier and wham it started right up!
First time i seen one in action and will be a future purchase for sure.
I just found this thread. Thanks for sharing, so i dont have to ask yinz about personal ownership of them.

How long does one stay charged up if you were to take it off charge and store it in a vehicle?

Definitely. I keep one in my trunk to boost customers cars that have weak batteries. You can also deduct from your taxes

I have a different brand but after several months the battery dropped from 100% to 97% so it takes a while. I try to charge twice a year just in case.

Several months. My NOCO charges using the same plug as my cell phone so if it were dead I could charge it enough to boost pretty quickly (unless it was my battery that was dead).
It's always a good idea to let any battery operated electronic discharge all the way the first couple of times. Trains the battery to stay charged longer (or so I've heard...)
