Business Card Test (Water Beads)
So I'm thinking of maybe adding some water beading effect on my business card, but curious on some of your thoughts? Is it too much, is cleaner/simpler better? Is the beading effect cool? Your thoughts as a detailer/hobbyist/potential customer would be appreciated!!
This is my current design:
This a beta version of what I'm maybe thinking of for a new version:
For some reason when uploading the pictures, they got a little pixelated, so just ignore that if possible, the actual copies are not pixelated. Thanks again!

Re: Business Card Test (Water Beads)
I like it!
When you said water beading and business cards I instantly thought you were going to coat your cards to show your customers the hydrophobic properties of coatings haha.. Then I thought about the plastic business cards I just got and how impressive it would be if I did a 50/50 coating with DLUX.
Back to the topic though, I think doing this with the "spot gloss" effect would look really awesome. Your customers would be able to feel the "beads" on the card. People like things they can feel.

I like it better than the current card.

Another suggestion would be to add "Featuring beeds" (of course using the actual beeds logo) to the front of the card. I think it would accent the water beads and it adds a level of professionalism and perks peoples interest. What you want is for people to ask you what beeds is out of curiosity, if they haven't already asked about the product their subconscious mind automatically goes into "he's trying to upsell me something I don't need" mode.

Hmm, thanks guys, my wife is very much in the camp of the old card, but I like the new one better myself. Just curious on how a potential customer might see it, hence why I posted.
That's a great idea on using the beeds logo Ryan, I have no idea why I hadn't thought of that. I could bump everything up a little and just add a little line with the logo at the bottom

The new card design caught my attention instantly. It really stands out from the old one with the addition of the water beads.

You know which one I'm leaning towards

I don't know if beading resonates with consumers.

The card stands out, but perhaps because it's a bit busy

Here's an updated version, spent a little more time diversifying the the water droplet sizes/details and made the change Ryan suggested. The more I look at it, the more I like it.
