Does Square allow for on-line purchases? I don't like PayPal's Gift Cert program and looking to Square. Goal is to have customers purchase Gift Certs on-line and pay with CC.
I currently use it and find it to be a breeze. Very user friendly and quick money deposit. It allows you to take payment over the phone as well via manual entry vs card swipe function.
Mostly for when one of my friends forgets his wallet at home and I have to pay for a meal for him. I just swipe his card when we get back to his place.
It works well for detail jobs though. Especially being able to have an itemized invoice you can send to a customer as a reciept.

Thanks for the quick replies! I'm looking into on-line transactions? Is this easy to setup?
My goal is for a customer to go to my web and purchase a gift certificate and pay with CC.
Their website states it can do on-line transactions, but does not go into any detail on how to set that up.

Well you can order/setup the gift card portions of things from the dashboard.
And as far as allowing to order things online you can select what items show up on your online store.
I suggest just signing up and playing with the interface a bit. It doesn't take much time and is free to start.
I think it is 3%. I use it for my credit card transactions and also the ability to email invoices is great. The customer can pre pay for the service that I may have quoted them from the email it sends them. Over all I'm very happy. I don't use it much for taking payments because most people still have been paying me in cash or check.
