Re: 2015 Detailing Seaon Starting! What are your goals?
That's just it. A lot of us here love detailing but don't do anywhere near as many cars per year as others do, so we wind up accumulating a wide range of products trying to "find something" that we like and that works, and "keep using it"... But because we don't do all that many cars, the collection CAN get out of hand! I have quite a range of compounds, polishes, waxes, sealants and coatings here, along with a large number of cleaners and panel wipes and on and on. In the end, though, I just plain LIKE Meg's Detailer line for most things.

Re: 2015 Detailing Seaon Starting! What are your goals?
Hey Mark, great post! I love seeing different ways that people want to improve their detailing business, learning from others on here is an awesome tool!
Well, I have had by far the craziest, busiest winter I've ever had in this biz, the combo of insanely nice weather for Seattle (I feel for you guys that this is the exact opposite) and the fact that I'm moving the business in TWO WEEKS now, so all my regulars wanted one last detail before I left - it has been absolutely crazy for me.
With completely starting over in a new location, I have a ton of goals.
1. Move the business without losing too much traction and without losing the steam that has built up over the last decade of doing this professionally.
2. Market my butt off and pour some extra money into getting my name and business in front of this entirely new base of potential customers. Facebook and Instagram will both play big roles in this.
3. Become more efficient and stream-lined in my processes (I am also adding some CarPro products like Hydro2 to help in this).
4. Completely re-brand my business from the ground up (this one is almost done and has been more work than I ever imagined).
5. Implement an entirely new follow-up program that helps retain any first-time customers that I get (which will be everyone).
6. Better book-keeping; it's always a goal and I always suck at it. Crap, come to think of it April 15th is getting close.

Same for me, but I need to finish up my web site though. Typically this is the slowest time of the year for my regular business till June/July. Then I might have to, or will hopefully have do some schedule juggling if get enough business going

The biggest thing that helped me was that I decided to provide a service at a given price point. Once I asked myself ok, at what $$ can I provide X correction with Y product. I have a process that I think is fair to everyone and a lot of these "premiere" products are shown in these situations to really be nothing but marketing and presentation over other products.
Autogeek OG. Attended detail fest I/II. Still detailing!

This is just my hobby, so my goals are pretty simple:
1) learn to polish correctly and correct my car's and my wife's SUV paint
2) Speed up and refine my routine
3) Experiment with some different products.

Most of all, I want to keep having fun doing it.
