Do any of you PROS accept checks?

You can get a square reader for free man! Just sign up online and they'll send one to you. You have to have a smartphone, and you only get charged when you swipe or use square.

I switched the settings to automatically add the percentage to the bill and I just tell the customer there is a 3% charge for using a card

Maybe i'm just paranoid,, when you look in town and see checks taped to counters for who not to accept checks from.

Places that tape checks up have more customers in a day than we have in a year. Just the law of averages playing out.

For first time customers its cash only. Never had a problem with it.

My reply at the beginning of this should have been,,, People still use checks? I don't even carry cash any more for the most part. I get cash for certain things and certain areas of the county LOLOL

Never had an issue with checks but if you can't get a bad one reconciled with customer you can go to the police for prosecution. We did this many of times at a store I worked at after high school.

I love it when my customers pay by check. I take a picture of it with my phone and the money is in my bank account in seconds! Plus no CC merchant fees.
