What to charge for applying a coating?

Hey guys, I am wondering how much you charge to apply a coating like Opt-coat 2.0 or CQuartz or the new coating from DP?

I am talking just the coating itself not the prep work or any other packaging.

I may raise my prices at some point... however, for the time being I charge:

    $150 for C.Quartz
$325 for C.Quartz FINEST (only available through CarPro-US)

Coatings available to consumers should be priced at cost of coating + labor. Pro coatings should be priced different.

Re: What to charge for applying a coating?

I was wondering the same thing, if I use the new DP products, how much extra should I ask to perform this job? I charge roughly 100 dollars for small vehicles for doing the outside using a PC and an AIO, with the usual other clean up on the outside, ie. clay, windows etc. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

For Opti-Coat Pro we start at $250 for small cars and go up depending on the size of the vehicle. For Cquartz Finest we charge $350 and up. Those prices are in addition to whatever the cost of the correction is.

I won't apply Opti-Coat with out paint correction really kinda point less. I only apply PL or Sonax with out paint correction.

Re: What to charge for applying a coating?

Ok so 250$ seems the norm for Opti-coat. I have not applied a coating yet, need to order some and do it.

How long does it usually take to apply? From the videos I saw it looks pretty straightforward, very similar to applying a sealant but with less product.

Pureshine, I would agree with you most of the time except for one instance: A new car without DISO.

That is the main reason I want to offer it, to new car owners. Of course if people go for a correction then it would make sense to get a coating too.
