starting a detailing business, need a little help with the name
I'm going to apply to create an LLC so I can get a business license and insurance, but I'm having a little trouble with the name for my business. I had in mind the name "DCS Precision Detailing" but after talking to some people, someone told me the name was too long, or had other complaints about it. I was just wondering if you guys had any suggestions. I realize the business name isn't as important as the work you are producing, but I want something that comes across as professional and isn't just "(First Name)'s Detailing".

"DCS Precision Detailing" isn't to long at all I'm not a fan of first names really but thats just me.

Is precision the right word to describe your detailing?

I thought it was before you had me second guessing myself...

So you're saying having my initials in the name is a bad idea?

How about "Don't sweat the details" Auto Detailing Service.

Might consider the idea of maybe incorporating something from the area, or at least buying the detailing domain names for nearby places (YorktownDetailing.com, GloucesterPointDetailing.com, ....). I started with a colloquialism that I heard as a kid in Mississippi that describes shiny objects.

A couple of thoughts that, somehow, came to mind:

I hadn't thought of throwing something in there related to where I live. I guess I need to think that one over a little.
And Bob...LOL. As hilarious as it would be, I'm not sure that's quite what I'm going for. I was trying to stay away from first names in the title and anything that's cheesy. Luckily I've been associated with a lot of local car clubs and such, so I've been able to do work for a bunch of people to get my name out. With the exception of one car, I've been doing paint corrections, and it's what I enjoy most about detailing. I guess thats where I got the idea to throw the "precision" part in there. I don't know if that helps anyone understand where I came up with the name or would help in further suggestions.
Thanks.
