When I first started out I laid out a plan. You dont want to be overwhelmed with clients that you rush projects, that leads to cutting corners and then you would be like all the rest of the detail yahoos running around. Also, try to appeal to a customer base. Do you want to go for the joe consumers with daily drivers or the higher end cars? No matter what route you take, if your work is honest and professional, customers will come to you trust me. With the popularity of social media (facebook/twitter) you can really expose yourself and your business).

These guys have stated it well! Word of mouth will always be your best form of advertising! Impress your customers each time and your business will grow, but remember each customer is different! Always detail to your customer...not everyone cares about a show car finish...they just know its good to have a wax on a car! Also set some business cards out at your local tire shops, or oil change places. People who pay to get thier oil change are typically the ones who will pay to get thier car cleaned! I also recommend creating a facebook page and start up loading pictures of your work for people to see! I have landed numerous amounts of clients form just posting a few pictures after we finish a detail! If you do a vehicle for a facebook friend, tag them in the picture of thier car... this exposes all their friends to your business as well! Sometimes it's a little luck of impressing that one person and business will blow up! Last...STAY ON AUTOGEEK! This group is a wealth of knowledge! I've been detailing cars for 8 years and have learned more in the last 5 months since I joined AGO! Read...watch videos... and obtain all the knowledge possible!!!

    Good Luck Man!
    Keep Calm... and Detail On!

    Eric
