(Mobile Guys) Rain polices an maintenance wash scheduling?

Well 2011 was a good 3rd year for my mobile detailing biz. With that being said i have a VIP maintenance package were a client pays a monthly fee and i come out every two week same day same time. Its really taking off and its what i like to do bc once i get the vehicle where i like it, its very ez to keep it there on a two week basis. The pass few months here in southern LA have been pretty wet. Ive never had a rain policy, if it happens to rain the there scheduled day ill just schedule the next dry day(which has been over a week) and some like to wait till the fallowing week. Well with all the rain gone all VIP customers what to get back on schedule this coming week. Which oddly works bc nobody's times are together (i thought that was very odd), so two weeks worth of clients are now in one

So i guess my question is.....for those of you who have weekly,biweekly,monthly packages how do you keep all your clients on there scheduled days month by month?


EX. Say Mr Jones gets his car done on Tuesday at 8 every two weeks. Well one week its raining on the Tuesday so instead of rescheduling him on Wednesday he want to wait a week an do it the fallowing Tuesday. So you say ok an come on that Tuesday, well now the next Tuesday was his original scheduled day. So do you just do his car back to back weeks or just two weeks from the last time you did his car(Which i currently do but it does a number on my schedule an is a headache).

Sorry I'm not mobile, Just my opinion ex: Mr.X Fri.11am 3/2, 3/16 & 3/30 Rain on 3/2 see if you can reschedule if you have an opening say no more the two days from 1st rain day then go back to regular scehdule next appointment stays 3/16, Say Mon 3/5 you have an open spot if you are able Take care of Mr.X and let him know you will be back on schedule for his normal appointment date of 3/16... hope this helps

LMAO joe! thats a good one. i love when people expect you to rewash a vehicle due to rain, my only exception to this would be if i was working on the car day before and it starts to rain ill rewash the next day and get back to it.

Depending on customer (Loyality) I may do a RINSELESS EXTERIOR ONLY IF it rained / snowed a day or two AFTER pervious DETAIL. .... EXTERIOR Quick Detail MAY take a half an hour...just to show appreciation to LOYAL customer.......

rain means planing and paper work , or onr garage wash or garage correction.

Actually, it does. Low volume right now, but gradually building. Pleased with current schedule .

I do limited mobile work, but I only do mobile work if the customer has enough garage space for me to work in. To me it isn't worth my time to schedule a mobile detail only to have rain ruin it. If the customer doesn't have garage space, no mobile jobs for them. I haven't ever had anyone complain, and it has saved me on multiple occasions from having to lose out on a job due to the weather. Granted I don't do high volume work.
