Good ideas EXCEPT the Flash. iPads won't do Flash, and you know how popular they are. Use HTML/Javascript or jQuery.

Re: My Website
I'm trying to remember the thread and forum that contains the beading picture (main page) . You should use your own pictures from your own work in my opinion.

Re: My Website
I would just absorb the credit card fees.. it looks tacky in my view to charge extra to use a credit card. but that's my view. also, are your time estimates pretty much right? It seems you can only make $24/hr. tops... just sayin.

If thats the case I agree 100%! Its one thing to use a stock photo of products, but for cars/work you should really use your own.

Re: My Website
Websites are great but it will not bring in much business imo. I nhad one for many years and I never got a customer from the site. When it comes to getting new customers word of mouth will account for most new business

Word of mouth is best, but I have gotten quite a few customers from my website. For how cheap it is there is no reason not to have one.

Re: My Website
As a business graduate I can through my two sense in for you, but listen to what others are saying as well. The logo's at the bottom of the design are illegal, and representing or assuming you are affiliated with these companies without their permission could land you some fines. It's in your best interest to get rid of them. I have also noticed that the majority of potential clients choose a company based on their work performed and knowledge within the industry. Your site looks good, but I would suggest only implementing a credit card surcharge later on when the company is more developed. I understand why you charge for a credit card because each provider (visa, mastercard, Amex) charges a percent for you to accept this form of payment, but do away with it for now.

I agree, the fee isn't going to cause you to go broke.... For example on a 100 dollar job the fee is $2.50, I would pay it because accepting cards should be a convenience to the customer.
