Re: Flyer and mobile insurance
I hand out flyers in offices pretty regular. They are specific to that type of customer. My RV flyer is different once again as well as my soon to be released aircraft flyer(no pun intended).
Set a dollar amount that you don't want to make less than per hour of work. My minimum per hour is $20. If I'm making less than that I've priced something wrong. After expenses its not worth my time to do the individual cars. I also suggest sell additional services to my customers. Things like RainX application, headlight restoration or quick wax.

Re: Flyer and mobile insurance
Flyers can give the wrong impression. I hate to come out of the store and find them on my windshield. We use a professional post card that we put on cars that are worthy of detailing ex. Escalades etc. no Cavaliers. On the top line of the card we put "Your vehicle has been chosen to recieve 30% off any detailing package. You can make the offer anything you want. This way your targeting cars that people may spend money on and your using a professional appearing card that has value. They do work. You can get them from Vista Prints very cheaply and they have templates so you can design them yourself. Good luck on the business! Don't forget all your contact info and website.

You need to think about a few things.
1. Do you get your materials for free?
2. Is your travel time and gas free?
3. On and on and on...
If you want to make $10 an hour, you need to be charging AT LEAST $15, and that's minimum.

Re: Flyer and mobile insurance
I carry insurance, business license and market my business. There is no way I can recover my cost by sticking to an hourly rate. If I did, it would be somewhere between 60-75 per hour. If someone wants a car wash, they can go up the street and pay $16.00. I market my services towards restoration and protection. I adjust my services to fit their budget. But understand that a business at least must recover its cost. Even if you detail at your parents place, someone is paying for utilities. I try to avoid mobile as it is always tough to do the best job as the environment is never ideal. I do most of my jobs at my shop. Take these matters in consideration when pricing and conducting yourself. I have college student who claims that he uses on Meguiars and charges $50-75 for a complete car detail inside out. At ten hours, his rate is $7.50 and has absolutely no insurance or a business license.

If someone just want a wash I would charge at least 25. It all depends what kind of service you provide, that what set you apart from others.
If other are charging 15ish for car wash, are you going be doing the same job as them or will provide better service? If your going go above and beyond I'm sure you can get more.
Oh yeah and it all depends where you live.
i think u going cheap on the car wash i atleast go 30/35 on car trks suv 45/55 headlight ur in that range 60 and up depending area

Re: Flyer and mobile insurance
Try not to worry about what others are charging. Everybodys business situation is a little different, besides there is always going to be someone out there who will under cut you to get the quick money. Most of them won't last long but they leave a bad taste in many peoples mouth. Mobile detailers have to combat this daily and thats why mobiles get a bad rep, unfairly I might add. Just concentrate on your needs and cost to do business in your area, your expenses and what you need to make an hour. Watch your spending and purchase products and equipment that get good reviews here and you will be fine. All of us went through trial and error on our pricing when we started and it can still be tricky.

To much on the menu most people wouldn't go tru the whole thing.
When I go to a restaurant and the freaking menu is like 5 pages or longer over 60+ items I don't even know gets me frustrated so try to narrow down your menu.
The first 5 services you got you can easily scratch those out narrowing it down to 2 basic hand wash or car wash. One for exterior only and the other one inside and out.

Thank you. I've been delaying this for a week. I sat down and did some research online. Looked at local companies and other mobile detailers. I looked at difference prices, packages and what they offer then I tried to make it my own. I admit I did some coping and pasting but anyways. It seems common practice to add 2 dollars for just rain-x or tire dressing. I understand it and agree with it. I also feel like SUVs or trucks should cost a bit more, its so bothersome to deal with ladders and everything and I am not to short at 6 feet.
I like the basic 10 dollar wash. thats something anyone and everyone will want and pay for. With an ONR wash with will leave a glossy just waxed look and I think people will come back and want to spend a more. for 10 dollars i use those basic costco type mf towels(big lots has them 24 for 10 dollars), for the premium i use yellow chemical guys plush towels.
