I'm glad to see that most everyone is aware of these calls. Just like any other phone call scam, if they call enough people they are likely to get someone to bite.



Craigslist does generate a ton of junk mail. I've decided to skip that venue from now on. But there are many occassions where someones email account has been compromised and junk mail companies are using their address. I'm not sure how they do it so I send back a reply asking "Is this junk mail from you?" Often times it comes back as undeliverable.

I do get a ton of junk from Craigslist, and a bunch of people trying to get the best price, but every once in a while I get a great job, or a customer with 5 cars that is religious about their vehicles condition. That is the only reason I put up with all the other BS that comes with using Craigslist.

It's called spoofing, you should know this.

I get these ATT calls everyday. I put the phone on speaker/low volume then set the phone down. I always let them go through their spill., then tell them to repeat, that I couldn't understand them. After they repeat, I tell them that I'm sorry, I had to let my dog out to tinkle, could you repeat again please. If they fall for that, after their done, I tell them I caught most of what they were saying before my doorbell rang with a Jehovah False Witness, then ask if they could repeat again.

By this time they usually hang up on me, if not I start asking alot of personal questions like if they are married, how much do they weigh, where did they grow up, how old they are , what color panties are they wearing and so on, and so on

I tell them to hang on for a min while I switch to the other phone.....Then I hang up quietly....hehehehe. I figure since they wasted my time, I can waste some of theirs till they realize I hung up!
