Hit the pavement
some marketing strategies i have used to get clients have been:
1.creating an advertorial and presenting it to hotel/resorts concierge services
2.car lots-although some have their own make ready dept, their guy may call in sick. i got a call yesterday from a dealer and got 3 cars. got a late start, but headed back today.
3.day care centers, retirement homes, hotels...get their shuttle vans!!!
4.truck stops, truck dealers, trailer dealers
5.advetise in free publications...seniors still read papers..especially the free ones you can grab at grocery stores. you may even get these papers to do a write-up on your services.
Bottomline get out there!!! Even if its raining you can market yourself (there is nver a day off due to weather. yes you may consider yourself a detailer, but $45 bucks for a shuttle van wash is good money especially on a day when u have no residential clients. not to mention they just want a wash, nothing spectacular. 1 hour or less of work (with set-up time, etc.)

make up a cool business card and visit car shows ... hand them out (never attach to car directly) and offer services when needed.

Plus at car shows it's 10x tackier than it is in a normal everyday parking lot. You want to piss off a large group of people in short order, that's the way to do it.
