Re: Have you ever messed up a customers car?

A lot of fun messages on here, but I think in the end all these stories make a good argument for using a DA whenever possible, which I would argue is always.

Try doing a full 3 step correction on a sunbaked Holiday Rambler(Endeavor) or a cigar boat, or a w900 with a da. I think not. My biggest "mess up" was a palm size burn through on a Brand new American Eagle ( a half million dollar unit if I recall correctly) above the main entry door on pass side roughly 9-10 ft from the ground. I knew better( the defect was in the paint not the clear) but my arrogance got in the way. Chalked it up as a learning lesson, part of the industry but I learned from that event.

burned the edge on my hatch, removed the spoiler as it had that brown set in staining single stage white gets and was trying to remove it by machine, wool fibers were hitting the edge and went through the paint, lesson learned and its hidden so i wasnt mad, hatch has a rust hole near the window anyways so will need to be repaired/repainted or replaced...
