With all the people who come here and lurk or post up looking for detailers in their particular location I thought we could start a list and maybe keep it as a sticky under "Auto Detailing 101"......unless moderators don't approve, than delete this post.

I think the best thing to do would be for a Mod to start a bullet (or sub-forum) list by region or something.

Three comments...

First: One thing we want to avoid is forum group crawling, that is where we continually add more and more forum groups. It's real easy to do and while it can be easy to make a case for a new, dedicated forum group, it make a forum too busy or crowded.


Second: Creating a dedicated forum group for Pro Detailers to announce themselves is a service not only to the Pro Detailers but also to people looking for a Pro Detailer in their area to take care of their car.

Third: A similar forum group would be a dedicated forum group for "Detailer Wanted" requests where a member could post they're looking for a detailer to work on their car.

I have an idea to could take this one step further. How about creating a section on the main Autogeek website where people could search for detailers in their area? To be added to the search list the detailer would have to be an Autogeek customer. This way Autogeek wins and the pros have an other place where people can find them.

Does it sound like a doable thing?
