Mobile detail detail on public streets/lots?
So I have a Mobile detail business and I’ve always wondered this questions. I did call the city (San Antonio) about mobile detailing. The city said I don’t need a business license or permit. Might call again don’t exactly remember. He said I do need to register with the local water agency for operating a pressure washer? You know people who work for city are very childish. It got me thinking as far as water for detailing, bring this question?
1. Can we as Mobile detail business go and wash a clients car let’s say at Wal mart? Since it’s private property? Can I get in trouble for doing this?
2. How about apartments complexes?
3. Streets where are is a lot of traffic?
Basically anywhere that draws attention, and well people get phone happy.
Don’t want pops rolling up on me and get a fine.

Any and all private property or business I ALWAYS get permission from the owner, no way around it.

It depends on the store, and a list of variables, I've been told no and I've been told yes.

Wow, didn’t know that. How about when washing near a busy public street? Who’s permission do I get?

You need to do your research and consult the local business that you may be in front of, some have responsibilities to the street and some don't. If they don't you have to speak to the city office and make sure it's ok.

Oh ok, thanks man. Here in San Antonio, it’s hard to get answers. When I do get someone the line they don’t seem to know, but this helps me out. Appreciate It and god bless you man

I've done it in San Antonio, get off the phone and go in person so you have a face to reference and proof you spoke to someone in case things go south.
