Any advice on starting headlight restoration business ?
Hello,
Im new to the forum.Ive enjoyed what I've read so far.I came across the site when doing research on UV sealants.Im wanting to start a HL restoration business to supplement my income.Any advice is welcome about any part of the buisness,Process,pricing,markets,flyers Basically anything.
Also anything I need to watch out for that will bite me in the rear (blind liabilities I call them)

Actually what I would say is it's a volume business. I doubt you'll be able to get people to pay much more than the carwash rate. So, learn quickly to evaluate the lens and never use sandpaper unless you're sure a compound won't work.
Get the coursest compounds you can find and put them on a rotary with a wool pad. Two other products I would have around are Flitz and McKees headlight polish.

Yes, stay far far away from Corvette headlights. They’ll leave you embarrassed and begging for mercy because they’re the absolute hardest and virtually impossible to restore. Don’t ever agree to do a Corvette.
