Re: Do you offer paint coating warranty?
Maybe look at some of the other professional ones that offer a decent warranty and has a decent product. You don't want to warranty something out of your own pocket since warranty claims can get messy. Someone wishes their car enough with acid, you can't tell that they've been using a lot of the touch less washes and then it's your time that's being wasted.

Re: Do you offer paint coating warranty?
No, I get asked and it’s not worth it to the customer or me. Unless your market is doing exotics or garage queens, it’s not worth it for a daily driver / kid / grocery hauler.
The process to get certified is costly ($1500 - $2000) and is controlled by radius of miles to proximity of other same/like/kind vendor. Gets tricky from there.
IMO, if you were getting a lot of exotics, maintain a high end shop and wanted that market exclusively you may look into it.

Re: Do you offer paint coating warranty?
What exactly does a warranty cover? Diminished beading, staining, water spots, diminished gloss or feel?

Re: Do you offer paint coating warranty?
Most warranty covers basically that the product will be installed correctly, and that under proper maintenance, it will last and protect the paint for X amount of years.

Re: Do you offer paint coating warranty?
I had a look at other detailer websites here in Montreal and it looks like Ceramic Pro 9H is the product being sold with a warranty. I have not found Opti-Coat pro installers in my research but I did not spend hours doing the research either.. just looked at the top 3 that came in the google organic search result.
As far as I knew, Ceramic Pro 9H was one of the first coatings to came out and wasn't that impressive... so either they improved the product or I am missing something. I was expecting to see Opti-Coat pro as a main product being offered but it's not. I wish I could talk to Yvan and see what he could tell me. I messaged him 3 times in the past few years and never received an answer to my messages.

Re: Do you offer paint coating warranty?
Opti-coat warranties for those interested (pro and pro plus), can be pulled up on the opti-coat site....not sure if this breaks forum rules to post a link since AG doesn't sell the pro line of optimum products, check it out pretty cut and dry...

Re: Do you offer paint coating warranty?
Ceramic pro is not a bad product per say but the whole needing 9 layers of it is kind of excessive. That being said, as you're a mobile detailer I'm not sure if a lot of these pro coatings require a shop or not.

Or just don’t offer coatings OP

Re: Do you offer paint coating warranty?
A warranty on something like paint protection to me is useless. How can one prove lack of protection? It's just a selling point for people who don't know any better.
