I know there has been many questions about which/what software to use. I found this web site that just may help ya determine what may be your best choice.
I use Excel. Looked at many softwares and could not find one I really liked. Excel is a little more work but I can configure it what ever way I need.
My business keeps growing so maybe in the future I will find Excel to be too much of a hassle, and will get a good accounting software. But for now, I am satisfied with the way my process is done.
I think it depends how big the business is. Mine is pretty small right now and the software that I use tracks mileage, classifies my expenses for me (with my preset rules), issues invoices, receipt and accepts payment, linked to my business account, and my CPA has access to it. This works for me now.
Quickbooks for me, even though I liked previous versions much better. Find out what your tax preparer or accountant likes. The two softwares may integrate and save you some money at tax time.
