PPF (clear bra) on headlights service?

I'm looking to possibly get into installing PPF (clear bra) and plan on starting small to gain experience and perfect the craft before moving to bumpers, whole hoods, etc. So kits are made for headlights and I figured that would be a great place to start. The benefits (protecting the headlights from rocks, pitting, UV damage) are enough that even the "normal" customer who doesn't have a high end vehicle or care a lot about their vehicles finish could see. I find a wide range of prices for the typical PPF applications (hood, rockers, front bumper, etc.), but I can't find any for JUST the headlights. Do you guys feel charging $100 - $120 for XPEL PPF installed on the headlights I would have much interest in this service?

My personal experience would be not much interest at that price. Clear bra on a hood or bumper, heck yeah but not just the headlights

I think by the time you buy the kit at a hundred and change then tac on 150.00 to install it,there would be a small niche of people interested.learn window tinting same corporation different division.

Well the pre cut headlight lens kits run $60- $70. This would reduce the amount of headlight restorations I would think so I don't see why $120 would be that bad. Average headlight restoration service I see is $50+ for a pair. Then once sanded the first time and the factory coating is removed they will likely need to be restored again every few years. Why not apply PPF and your protected for 5-10 years.

With the costs associated with the
    replacement of polycarbonate lenses
    being so exorbitant...having PPF
    that's ~30mil thick (such as XPel's)
applied to these lenses is a very wise
    preventative maintenance decisision
    for vehicles' owners, IMHO.

Many headlight restoration services around me give a lifetime warranty. I know I give a lifetime warranty on them but only if they come back every 4 months to have me put a UV protectant product on them. I charge $60 for the restoration.

A lifetime of 4 months seems
    rather fickle---like a butterfly

How many headlight Restos do you do a month.Very wise decision to film them without a doubt. But it will still be a small niche to lay out 2 bills for headlight film.I don't think the demand is very large.

Especially in this economy, you would have to connect with a high end dealer to make it work. And surely they want a cut.for a 150.00 upsell gross profit I don't think they would push it enough tough sale all around.Try and do it and see what happens.keep us updated.
