Believe me if I could get business charging $100 dollars an hour I would. But this really is my hobby and not my main source of income so I'm honestly not trying to squeeze every last cent out of my clients. I often talk people out of my more expensive packages when I feel they just don't need them.

I've seen it. I started up there about two and a half years ago, but ended up moving after a couple months when I split up with my ex. I definitely had to lower my prices from what we were charging in Hawaii, but the detailing places I saw looked like junk. Wooden signs with spray painted prices. I haven't seen that many mobile detailers out and about. I don't see people on the Westside spending much on detailing either, unless it's Navy personnel. I guess if you're doing it part time there is no need to drive across town. But I'd be marketing towards Eagle Harbor, the beaches, and especially St. John's Towncenter.

Your right about that. I turn down a ton of business from across town just because I don't want to drive over there. Those people know I'm cheaper then their local guys. If I was full time I would pursue those leads more aggressively but since I only work the weekends I stay booked up about a month out and turn down more business then I take. My website seems to set me apart from a lot of the local guys. For some reason there are a lot of people doing this with no web presence. With a little SEO a good site will give you more business then you need. Pair a website with a google spot and a YouTube channel and your golden. Plus I'm on all the forums with the back link right in my signature so every time I post there's another link. It only took me 2 years and now if you Google "Detailing" within 30 miles of me I'm on the first page.
