Suggestions for IDA Webinar Topics

There’s a monthly webinar sponsored by the IDA the third Thursday of each month at 7:00pm Eastern Time. The Webinars are intended to provide information on two general topics.

1. How to successfully run your detailing business

2. Technical and practical how-to information for tools, products and procedures.


We are open to ideas and topic suggestions for both categories for webinars. Please post your suggestions here or contact Eric Majewicz or Mike Phillips

Hey Mike,

My time zone isn't super friendly for attending an IDA webinar but a couple of subjects I would be interested in are -

Menu based or Custom detailing.

To grow or not to grow? Satisfaction v money.

How to deal with "no shows" or lateness.

I hope to be able to attend a webinar at some stage in the future, seems there is a bucket full of knowledge to rummage through at the IDA & it can only lead to good things.

Along the lines of lateness and no shows, would it be proper to have customers put a non-refundable deposit down to hold their appointment.

Another topic I thought about today as I was happily buffing away is - Talking to your clients or prospective clients. I feel I do this well & kinda thought I had been doing okay at it before I attended Compitition Ready class Jan 2015 too. Mike, Listening to what you said & apon returning home & back to the shop & putting it into practice it has considerably changed my approach to clientele & has given me the confidence to charge what I'm worth.
