I don't use the EZ-Detail Brush, I use a much cheaper wheel brush with a metal core. Figured I'd see how I liked it first before I spent more on a better brush (plus, I wanted one I could throw away, my test engine compartment was horribly filthy. Eleven years and 184,000 miles and I don't think it was ever cleaned.)
I don't want to soak with soap and spray with water. My engine (Corvette) is already clean but want to maintain it by a light dusting/cleaning to keep it clean. Just have a hard time reaching the hard to reach places. How did the wheel brush work?

Keep in mind my opinions are coming from a very inexperienced amateur.
However, the wheel brush I purchased worked pretty great. I feel that the EZ-Detail would work a whole lot better with it's flexibility and not having to worry about shorting something out or scratching something since it is non-metallic. As I said though, I wanted to get a feel for if I would like the method so I went cheap. The added benefit of the cheap one though is that the brush is disposable. My test engine compartment was horrible.
I'd imagine you'd need a decent bit of water for a wheel brush to be of much use though. I'd listen more to them than me. lol
For quick cleaning I use an apc and mist everything and use air gun to blow everything dry/off. Then do the same thing with misting water on everything.
I see guys quite frequently around here using a pressure washer. I've always been taught not to go that route. Electrical connections and such. I've always thought steam cleaning or by hand is best. No?
