The whole trim appears to have many dots..It can't be clean yet it does not have texture like paint peel. What is this?

I know this is an old post, but this has come up a few times since.
    This is clear coat failure.
Moisture is seeping into the clear.
If you leave it in the sun for a day it goes away.
Wash the car and it is back.
    Need to repaint.

Um...huh? That looks like rubber trim with something growing on/in it.

I've been looking at that picture for the last 10 minutes trying to figure out if there is possibly some optical illusion that makes us see rubber trim with mold but when ol' "crispy" looks at it he see's paint with clear coat failure. What a strange thing.

    Re: Trim damage?

Went out today after a rain and the spots were there.

Drove home and had dinner (was done raining on drive home).

    After dinner spots gone.

You tell me what it is?

    Re: Trim damage?

Looks to me that whatever was originally sprayed onto the trim to protect it is failing.

There is no fixing that.I had that on my charger only on the driver side .That promblem is notorious down here on certain models.I tried bleach a cleaner wax and some other crap and zero results.Ad it,replaced under warranty.
