    How to strip sealant?

I used Wolfgang DGPS as a LSP about 4 months ago. I maintain car weekly with a spray wax.

I want to strip the DGPS and put a new layer on. What recommendations do you have. I don't feel like clawing the whole car !

    Ughhh
    Cheers

Why do you feel you need to strip it or clay it? Give it a wash and put some more on.

Well, then if you want to strip...don't complain about the work involved in stripping, just do it instead of starting threads about it.

Why don't you simply wash the car and do an IPA wipedown. Done. Bye. $1.19 at CVS or Walgreens.

If you want to remove WGDGPS you'll have to use some type of polish or paint cleaner to remove it. IME the only way to strip it chemically is with a solvent type product like Prep All or mineral spirits. IPA/Eraser won't work.

In my experience, this will not work

I tried to strip a section to do some touch-up paint. Tried Eraser and IPA (50%). Still had beading.

Yeah, but he's not using touch up paint, he's putting the same product back on top. Which is why stripping it is silly. And he's complaining about clay being too much work, so I would have to presume polish or paint cleaner is out of the question.

Sure, mineral spirits or Prepsol, Prep All, etc. I don't think it makes much difference in this case.
