If the area you dry the car (using drying towels already recommended) is out in the sun, you might want to keep a bottle of quick detailer and a small MF towel handy. Once dry, go around and hit any areas that have spots with the quick detailer and they should all come off.

My neighborhood has NO shade at all. When washing my cars I often have water spotting because the water is evaporating faster than I can wipe it off. Simply hitting the water spots with QD spray works every time.

    Thumbs up. Great post

I too live in a area with very little shade. After drying the car I go around and inspect each panel and hit with a quick detail spray or ever a spray wax will be just fine

Thanks for the advice everyone. My frontier is all clean with no water marks. I think the car before me didn't take much care of it or wash it very good because I notice water marks when it's wet, but it's gone when it's dry

Okay well it just rained here.. And getting water spots on the windows and body. What can I do to prevent this? Because I don't want to wash the car everytime It rains. Just the weekends.

Also my mom has a 2002 nissan xterra which she got In 2002. To be honest it's probably only been washing like no more than 5 times.. Haha. But it seems like she does not has water spots after it rains. I don't know. The color of the car is also white

There's nothing you can do to prevent water spots from forming. If you do not want to do a full wash after every rain, you could use a rinseless or waterless wash product to remove the water spots.

One of the advantages of a light colored car is that it hides water marks (and swirls and scratches) more than a dark color like on your's. It doesn't mean the defects aren't there on your mom's car though; they're just much more difficult to see.

Post Re: How to wash your car without getting water marks

I saw the Mike Phillips video to learn a different drying technique or method but as I am a spanish speaker and altough my english is not bad I did not catch easily if Mike calls the drying technique in show cars as a "Blood" Water off or "Block" water off.

Anyone can help me with this?

    Thanks guys.
