Can one of you kind folks snap a picture of it in action please lol
Can't help ya with the oxidation, but I'm sure someone here knows about it. Here are a couple pics of the clamps holding the hose, one with a nozzle attached, one without. When there is an attachment, and the shut off is set to on, the lever makes for a nice handle to keep it in place. The bucket is filled with water, which is why it doesn't topple over. I keep 4 filled buckets around the car to keep the hose from getting stuck under a tire or flipping up and hitting the paint.

Lol yeah I wouldn't worry about damaging it. Worst case: that rubber part comes off so you plasti-dip the handle.

Like I said, I'm just trying to keep it clean so I don't get dirt on my hands that'll then get transferred into the wash bucket, onto the mitt, and onto my paint. The 4 buckets are nice for that too; I use them to quickly rinse my hands or the end of the hose.

I also notice dirt in the nozzle of my pressure washer or fire hose nozzle too. I only imagine that it's mixing with the water or shooting out at high speeds against my paint.
