    I thought I'd post a follow up. The brush still lives and the repair holds. It's probably been used on a 100 wheels or more since it broke.







    The splash thingee is long gone.

    Thanks for the follow up! I was thinking about this thread the other day. It seems as if the stem of my Daytona is weakening. I really love the brush however and have no intentions of throwing it out.

    An excellent recovery for something i cannot live without. I, too, like to prolong the life of things i use the heck out of and have applied miles of duct tape and bailing wire to things over the years to keep 'em going!

    Thanks for a step by step on something that looks like even I could do!

    Although...maybe just one use on those Alpina Wheels shown on whatever catalog is on your "work bench" may have you repairing it again!!!
