Thanks for the post, Nick. But, am I the only only one that would rather just buy new clay? I am not a professional detailer, more the enthusiast, so that may be the difference. Just too much work, more expense, etc. Not criticising if it works for you.

It takes so little cleaner that if you have multiple clay bars, or if you're a professional detailer with pounds of clay, a couple bucks for a 16oz bottle of cleaner is well worth it. It's a similar concept to cleaning your pads after each use. Yes, the clay is going to wear out eventually or become heavily soiled, but at least this product helps extend the life by thoroughly cleaning the bar after each use.
