Re: Collinite #845: The Definitive How-To Guide For This Legendary Wax
I would wash, use the Deep Crystal paint cleaner, and then apply the 845 - the paint cleaner is a pretty good product that will remove any old wax remnants and leave the surface clean and ready for a new wax application.

Is collinite 845 toxic? Can I use it on my shower door to prevent soap scum? lol
PS. I'm only half joking! haha

I put collinite 845 on my windshield today and the wiper blades began to chatter... So I used APC to take it off and now it's fine... I thought the 845 would make it more slick?

Ahh...lesson well learned...been there done that...LOL!!
What has worked for me is Permanon...I use yet over Collinite 845 and I get beads on beads. Plus Permanon is just too easy to apply, you'll see rain drops roll off your windshield.
Keeping the Shiny side up and Shinning, and the Rubber side down and Sticky!
Aloha!

There's 303 Shower Shield for that. Great stuff.

Back to the collinite 845. With my PC I apply it at a speed of 3. What speed would I use the PC on with a MF bonnet to buff it off? 6?

Nick, I have seen this thread but never actually read it. Wow, was I missing something. The information that you imparted was well written, humourous in parts and very clear and easy to understand. You are a good writer! (Your photography skills are good too).

Any recommendations on what type of applicator to use if I will be applying this by hand?
