That's odd...anyone know why this is?? Firefox is my browser, Canon SX120IS camera uploaded to my computer via media card, sized using Easy Thumbnails, then put on here with the [IMG] tool at the bottom of the screen.
Funny, I can view my pictures both on here with Firefox and they also come up at work using IE. I know I can view some pictures in other posts, then others I can't.

Harbor Freight also has a decent 5" rotary backing plate that will work with any of your DA pads which will work fine on the rotary by the way. No need to purchase special rotary pads however I would suggest getting at least one 6.5" Purple Foamed Wool pad for this project. This project would be a good way for you to get accustomed to using a rotary.
$30 for H.F. rotary, $6.99 for backing plate... that's not much to have to justify for. IMO that's less that one hour in labor costs and if it saves you 20 hours in labor it's more than justified. Good luck and have fun with it.
I will have to give it some thought. I'm trying to keep some costs down now...well, it's a long story...rather large vet bill and I just lost my cat of 16 years...

I'm sorry to hear that you lost your cat. I was just loving and petting "Jack" (my girl dog) of 15 years thinking how many times she has made my life so joyous. Pets are hard to let go of and I dread the day that I have to let go of Jack.
As for my post regarding the H.F. rotary...just food for thought.

Thank you. It never does get any easier. I've lost 2 dogs and my cat so far in my life. I feel sorry for people that say "it's just a cat" or "it's just a dog." They are very unfortunate to have never been blessed with such wonderful animals.
I'm not going to make any purchases anytime very soon. Just looking into some options for the DA, like the 5.5" pads so I had them for our boat and cars. The boat is just going to be a quick cleanup anyway (I hate the boat, but that's another story..) for my Dad. But you did give me something to think about getting into rotary use. Honest to God, I'd be scared to DEATH to use it on anything other than a boat! Thanks!
