How to remove etched bird droppings on 2016 subaru legacy
I have a 2017 Subaru Legacy (grey) that has etched into the paint. The car belongs to my son who had no clue about the importance of getting the bird droppings off ASAP. It is now too late and will not come out. I really do not want to wet sand the spots. I have a DA buffer, I am just not sure which product will work. I have heard that a hair dryer will work as well. I am not sure that is true.

Try to remove it by hand first with a fine cutting polish or compound. Then remove the marring with a da.If no go may need to be nibbed with 2500 and polished out good luck.Maybe buy gloss coat coating the bird cap may penetrate but maybe easier to remove.

Don't sand it if you don't know what you're doing. Slow down and stay calm. Hand apply some polish or maybe some Meguiars Ultimate Compound. Don't over rub and if you use the DA don't sit on it for a long time. You CAN go through clearcoat by hand or with a DA. If you don't see quick results stop and take it to a Quality detailer for an analysis/estimate.

If the above advice doesn't work and you can't get it out... Be somewhat thankful that the car's gray. You'll likely never even notice it's there unless you hunt for it.
