Griot Sythetic Clay vs Speedy Prep Towel virtually a draw

So tried a side by side comparison for first time.

Have been a big fan of the Speedy Prep Towel but wanted to see if something better was out there.

The Girots is just realeased so thought I would try.

Well the good news is they both work the same, and same excellent ease of use and performance.

The bad news is I wasted some money, but that's ok.

I did the trunk tops and rear spoiler to test.

Washed with ONRW&S and then did bagey test.

    There was contaniments.

Used Optimum Detailer as lube (Girots says can use car wash soap but I did not do this).7

First side Girot and second Speedy.

Virtually the same on both sides.

One application did not work with either.

Two applications worked perfectly with both.

    Conclusion:

Ease of application goes to Girots-the sponge makes it easy to golf and control.

Both products are easy to use and work very well.

No performance difference (that's a good thing).

Will keep both for future use as they do well.

Since you are using the Speedy Prep Towel vs the Griot's Sponge I would expect the sponge to work better.
Having used the Nanoskin Speedy Prep Towel as well as the Nanoskin Speedy Prep Sponge, I find the sponge to be significantly better.
As you stated, theres just more control, motion and navigation with the sponge.

$70 spent on a towel - $15 on a sponge, much happier with the sponge. Paired w/ Nanoskin's Glide, oh so much better than ONR, dish soap, car shampoo, etc.

    Thanks for your review.

Anyone tried the Mother's version of synthetic clay? It's supposed to be different although removal is removal.
