What products do you show in your boat detailing class?

What products do you show in your boat detailing class?

One of people that attended the Texas Roadshow Class is also taking the 2020 Boat Detailing Class. We only teach the boat class once a year)

    He sent me this question,

Just curious I’m using the 3m perfect-it system and not liking the results of the polish it dries too quickly and requires me to almost scrub it off.

Using dewalt rotary at 1400 rpms wool pad.

Great question and just like I share the pictures from my classes on this forum I also answer questions on this forum, not in e-mail. Only one set of eyeballs see the info in an e-mail. Forums are powerful.

The best documented boat class I've ever been able to put together is the boat class in 2018. It takes many hours to go through the pictures taken at a class and then do something with them. Do something means crop, resize, rename, upload and insert. This is a lost skill among the masses now days.

Here's the link and if you read through it not only will you see what we use but you'll also get to see what you're going to do. Over 200 pictures. And check out the before and after on the boats. No class like this anywhere.

I also wrote my boat detailing book to be the COURSE OUTLINE for this class. So what you see in the book is what we use in the class.

Paperback book - How To Detail Boats With Marine 31 by Mike Phillips

Of course, as new products are introduced, we show them in ALL our classes. Only makes sense to be current - we are Autogeek after all.

Re: What products do you show in your boat detailing class?

    In a nutshell,

    Abralon Sanding Discs
Marine 31 Captains One Step Compound & Polish
Marine 31 Gel Coat Prep Spray
    Marine 31 Captain's Coating

The above is just a small portion of the products we use. I would have to type out a book to list them all and I already did this - in a book.

Also - we use a LOT of tools in our boat detailing class. Just like all our car detailing classes. When you were at the Texas Roadshow Class you used a LOT of tools. Same thing in the boat class.
